Metzgerei Ludwig Mayer

Metzgerei Ludwig Mayer in Augsburg is a traditional butcher’s shop that has been in operation since 1886. It uses exclusively meat from the region, freshly slaughtered and selected without involving long transport routes. Everything is processed in its own butcher’s shop – from dividing and cutting up whole halves of pigs to preparing liver sausage and schnitzels for the lunch menu.

The products are made according to traditional recipes without convenience products or storage. The lunch menu includes dishes such as cheese spaetzle with salad, beef goulash with cheese spaetzle, as well as schnitzel with potato salad. Three master butchers ensure the quality. “Der Feinschmecker” has already named the butcher’s shop one of the 500 best butcher’s shops in Germany twice.
