The Löwen Inn combines a hotel and restaurant right in the heart of Freiburg’s Old Town. Guest rooms offer accommodation in the heart of Freiburg, centrally located and right in the city centre. In the restaurant, tradition meets hospitality and passion.
The present-day building was first mentioned in 1460 as “Haus Zum Wasservogel” and was a typical craftsmen’s house for centuries. Between 1789 and 1810, Michael Eckstein temporarily ran a Kranzwirtschaft here, a precursor to today’s Straußenwirtschaften. Later, the building housed, among other things, a bookshop and a victuals shop. Today, the Löwen Inn stands for a traditional establishment with a hotel and restaurant. The establishment is LGBTQIA*-friendly and queer-friendly.

Hotel liegt mitten in der Altstadt. Vom Bahnhof mit der Straßenbahn gut zu erreichen. Zimmer war groß und sauber, allerdings im 2. Stock ohne Aufzug etwas beschwerlich. Frühstück gut und ausreichend...
Un buen lugar para comer comida típica. Pedí una pierna de puerco tierno asada y una pinta de cerveza, toda una comilona. El strudel de manzana coronó el almuerzo.
Guter Gasthof Gutes Lokal
Personal sehr freundlich und höflich und hilfsbereit, vor allem aufmerksam dazu ist die Küche hervorragend. Kann ich nur jedem Gast der in Freiburg Urlaub macht empfehlen. 👍 👍 👍 😎 💪
Bin eher zufällig durch historix in das Gasthaus Löwen gekommen, guter Service, schöne Atmosphäre, Speisekarte eher kurz, gutbürgerlich ... Preis Leistung empfand ich für Freiburg in Ordnung.

Zimmer einfach aber sauber. Die Küche sehr gut, und freundliche Bedienung. Auch die Hotelleitung sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend.

Uriges Restaurant, sehr leckeres Essen und sehr sehr freundliche Bedienung. Unbedingt zu empfehlen.
Zimmer-Stil war zwar sehr alt aber Flachbildfernseher war vorhanden. Das Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker und das Personal war sehr nett! Ich würde wieder kommen 👍🏻

Ho soggiornato qui una notte. Camera essenziale ma carina e pulita. Staff molto gentile. Colazione buona e abbondante. Lo consiglio.
