Sofi Bakery bakes bread with grains from small organic farmers in Northern Europe. The neighborhood bakery in Berlin-Mitte follows the principle of honest, artisanal baking with as little intervention as possible and places particular importance on origin, raw materials, and the production process.
At the center is the application of the ideas of the Slow movement to bread baking. Sofi understands baking as a craft tradition and explores the consequences of industrialized food production in the process. The selection of the grain begins with the soil, whose importance for the quality of the grains is compared with the importance of soil for wine. Sofi Bakery was created in collaboration between Slowness and Danish chef and restaurateur Frederik Bille Brahe.

The sourdough chocolate cake was probably the highlight of my week. Thank you!
Authentic danish bakery, tucked away in Hackesche Höfe.
Some of the best bread in Berlin!
Very tasty and good options. Focaccia was delicious and different (5€ for a large portion). Croissant I must say was super tasty and buttery but a bit too expensive (2.30€). Rye bread is 6€. Only fanc...
I love bread in Poland and I was really struggling with finding a really good bakery in Berlin. Zeit fur Brot is ok but not mind blowing at all. And Sofi is just a perfect place. Really. I live in Cha...
You’re probably wondering if it’s worth queuing for SOFI. If you are going here for their pastries and/or cookies, hell yes! They are super tasty and just really good. However, at the end of the day...
I was fancying something sweet as I was waiting for my hair appointment and Sofi was conveniently close and in my to go list. It feels intimidating to step in the courtyard but that’s part of the char...
Great baguette and very sweet, crispy morning bun. Usually a long line but that's just because the staff needs to find their groove. They will probably improve in the next months.
One of the best places in Berlin for anything bakery. Highly recommending the cardamon bun.
Bestes Brot in Mitte!
Leckere Sachen, aber preismäßig mit deutlichem Mitte-Aufschlag
I cannot understand the hype. Mentioned in every blog or magazine, but all you get is burned bread for a disproportionate price. Celebrated as local but the grains come from Scandinavia. And you get l...
Incredible cookies and great cakes
Die Morningbuns und Pain au Chocolate sind ein Gedicht! Die Veganen Kuchen sind ok. Das Brot ist sehr lecker!
The best bakery in Berlin!
leckeres Brot.
Good bread. Service slower than soho house.
Good stuff , nice people , great coffeee 🙏
I liked this new spot. Early grey cake, pain au chocolat and some kind of mustard pasty thing. All fairy high quality. Decent coffee and nice space.
Pain au Chocolat was nice enough but quite expensive. Big queue and not much on offer.
I found their signature sourdough ‚Berlin Loaf‘ to be a disappointment - burnt on the outside, too fluffy and light on the inside with cheese-like holes. Overall, lacking the substance of a sourdough...
Lecker aber etwas zu süß und teuer. Feine Auswahl
Gleiches...
Probably the best pastries I've had in Berlin! Do not miss the double-baked croissant! The morning buns have a subtle sweetness and the crispyness is extremely pleasing. Their bread buns were also div...
Thank you
